Scholarships up to $7,500 are available for employees and the spouses or dependents of employees working in the wholesaler or supplier tier of the alcohol industry.
Elite Brands has been a long-time member of the Colorado Beer Distributors Association and our very own president, Terry Cekola, is a proud board member and helped to launch CBDA’s charitable foundation along with several other Colorado beer distributors in 2021.
The foundation was started to provide educational scholarships to employees, their spouses, or dependents of persons working in the wholesaler or supplier tiers of the alcohol industry in Colorado.
This year, the foundation is awarding scholarships up to $7,500 each and applications are now open through May 31, 2024. Learn more below or contact rachel@cobeer.com with any questions.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be an employee or a spouse/dependent of an employee that works in the wholesaler or supplier tier of the alcohol industry in Colorado
- Exclusions: CBDA Board Members and their spouses/dependents; and CBDA Foundation Board Members and their spouses/dependents
- Must be a high school senior, graduate or GED equivalent attending a qualifying institution (see list)
- Cannot have received this scholarship before.
Qualifying Institutions:
- Four-year colleges and universities
- Two-year college programs
- Post high school vocational school
- Other post-secondary institutes recognized by the Department of Education
