We’ve selected four whites perfectly suited for summer from four very different regions of the world including Italy, Portugal, Hungary and the U.S. All of these wines represent a fantastic value and highlight the flavors of the unique regions the fruit is grown.

A smooth entry to the wine leads the way to flavors of Bartlett pear, orange, honeydew and lemon zest. A very well balance wine with moderate acidity and a nice creamy texture. This wine will pair well with any summertime dish!

Evolúció Furmint

Hungary

The name Furmint is taken from the French word “froment” for the wheat-gold color of the wine it produces. Evolúció is made from a selection of vineyards especially identified to create a well-balanced and food complementing wine that’s a perfect companion to warm weather drinking. The furmint was selected for its quality from several vineyards and assembled with Hárslevelű to provide the best-balanced blend. The wine is bottled young to retain freshness and natural richness from the fruits. This furmint has an intense aroma of fresh green apple, pear, pineapple and some aromatic floral notes. Acidity and a rich texture lends way to fruity flavors of apricot and cantaloupe melon.

  • Tokaj, Hungary
  • 11.5% ABV

Ornato Pinot Grigio

Italy

This Pinot Grigio is grown at the foot of the remains of what was once the stunning villa of the della Scala family, one of the most influential families in Verona from the early 1200’s to the late 1300’s. The much admired ruler of Verona, Cangrande I della Scala, summered at this villa. This label is a reproduction of the design taken from a fragment of the ornate and intricate art that once covered the ceilings of the villa. This Pinot Grigio is a great, easy-drinking summer wine with its fresh and floral nose and bright fruit flavor.
